Teacher Syllabus Builder FAQs

Everything you need to know about calculating weighted grades, final exams, and GPA scales.

How do teachers create a custom grade calculator for their class?

Enter your course code (e.g. BIO 101), instructor name, and add each syllabus category with its percentage weight (e.g. Homework 20%, Labs 25%, Midterm 25%, Final 30%). Click 'Create Shareable Student Link' to generate a dedicated URL that opens a pre-configured calculator for your students.

Can I embed the custom grade calculator into Canvas, Blackboard, or Moodle?

Yes! Click the 'Copy LMS / Canvas Embed Code' button to copy an HTML <iframe> snippet that can be pasted directly into any LMS page or syllabus web document.

Do students need to create an account to use my custom calculator?

No. Grade Calcy is 100% free and requires zero accounts or logins. Students click your link and immediately see your class categories with their weights locked in.
